MKT Caboose
The all metal caboose, assembled with hot rivots, was
built in the late 20s or early 30s and served the Missouri
Pacific Lines (MoPac) probably passing through San Marcos
hundreds of times. The caboose has a capola (upper deck).
It was found in San Antonio and brought to San Marcos for
restoration. The caboose retains all of its original
characteristics, including the conductors desk, bunks,
toilet, sink, ice boxes, flairs, telephone system, and
emergency brake.
